In this single month, a total of 1.91 lakh electric scooters and bikes were sold in the country. On an average, about 6,159 e-vehicles have been sold per day. Compared to March 2025, a huge increase of 45 percent has been recorded in sales this year.

TVS Motor Company beat the bet

In March 2026, TVS Motor Company has topped electric two-wheeler sales. The company set a new high by selling 49,453 units in a month. TVS’s ‘iQube’ and ‘Orbiter’ models have been favored by customers, and demand for these cars has increased due to their powerful performance and range.

A strong performance by Bajaj and Aether Energy

Bajaj Auto finished second in the sales race. Bajaj sold 46,246 units of its ‘Chetak’ electric scooter, which is 31 percent higher than last year. Whereas, Ather Energy is at the third position with 35,688 scooters. It has been the most successful month for Ather so far and their ‘Rizta’ and ‘450’ series have received a huge response.

Hero Vida’s big leap and Ola Electric’s comeback

Hero MotoCorp’s ‘Vida’ brand has surprised everyone and registered a whopping growth of 128 percent. In March, the company sold 21,434 scooters. Interestingly, Ola Electric once again secured its place in the list of top-5 companies with sales of 10,117 cars. Ola fell behind in the race in February, but made a strong comeback in March.
