‘This’ four-lane highway in Maharashtra will soon become six-lane! The proposal has been approved, according to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari

An important update for Maharashtra is coming out today from this winter session. Today Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has given important information in the Lok Sabha regarding the pending works of National Highways in Maharashtra.

He also gave detailed information to the House regarding when the works of these projects will be completed. Also, on this occasion, he announced that an important four-lane highway in the state will soon become six-lane.

The work of these three roads will be completed soon

MP Supriya Sule of Sharad Pawar Group had raised a question regarding the Pune-Satara-Kolhapur route. Responding to this, Union Minister Gadkari said about the delay at some stages on the said route that the work of the Pune-Satara section has been withdrawn from Reliance.

Also, the department has now started a new review for the work of this route. Work on one of the new tunnels in Khambatki Ghat will start soon and a high-level meeting has been held in this regard next week.

Notably, the entire route will be completed within the next twelve months and it is hoped that the journey of passengers on this route will be fast, safe and comfortable.

Apart from this, Thackeray Group MP Arvind Sawant raised a question about the Mumbai-Goa highway. Answering this, Gadkari said that the route will be completely ready by April 2026. This project started in 2009.

During this period several contractors changed, there were difficulties in land acquisition, and also delays in works due to technical reasons. However, 89 percent of the work has been completed so far and work on the remaining portion is on war footing. Therefore, he expressed the belief that it will be possible to make the highway available for traffic by April 2026.

Meanwhile, Congress MP of Dhule Lok Sabha Constituency Shobabchhaw raised a question regarding the Dhule-Pimpalgaon National Highway in his constituency. Responding to this, Gadkari said the third renovation of the route is expected to be completed by January 2026.

Also the official deadline for this work is April 2026. That is, he has predicted the possibility of the work of this route being premature. The special thing is that this four-lane highway will be six-lane in the near future.

The proposal in this regard has been approved by the government and its work will start soon. Of course, if this route is made six-lane, it will be of great benefit to the people traveling on this route.
