In this film he is once again working with his son (Varun Dhawan). But meanwhile, one of his statements has made the fans emotional. David Dhawan has indicated that this film could be the last film of his career. He says that now he wants to gradually distance himself from work and spend time with his family.
Special bonding with son Varun, only actor-director relationship on the set
In an interview, David Dhawan spoke openly about his and Varun’s relationship. He said that there is excellent understanding and coordination between the two. “The first thing a director needs is a good actor. Varun is not just my son, but a sensible artiste who understands everything deeply.”
David also told that on the set he does not see Varun as a son, but as a professional actor. He believes that it is important to keep relationships separate during work, so that better results can be achieved.

Recalling the old era of the film industry, David Dhawan said that earlier the way films worked was completely different. He said that at that time there was no practice of narrating the entire script. Even big stars like Salman Khan, Govinda and Sanjay Dutt sometimes did not listen to the entire script.
Films were made by explaining scene-to-scene and work was done on the basis of trust. Although today’s times have changed, David still prefers the same old style.

Health deteriorated during shooting, son took responsibility
During this, David Dhawan also revealed about his health. He told that during the shooting of the film he fell very ill and had to go to the hospital. At that time Varun took full care of him like a responsible son. He handled every situation by staying in constant touch with the doctors.
A wonderful journey of 3 decades, now David looks satisfied
David Dhawan, who has made more than 45 films in a career spanning nearly 30 years, seems satisfied with his journey. He said, “I have seen a very good journey, now I do not want anything else.” He also remembered his guru Manmohan Desai and told that he learned the nuances of masala entertainment cinema from him.
