Rahul Gandhi has shared the video of his conversation with some people regarding the trade deal. Along with this it was written, Narendra “surrender” Modi has betrayed the farmers of India – and the farmers have understood this. This is not just a trade deal, but a direct attack on the livelihood of our farmers.

Their concern was clearly visible in the meeting with the delegation of farmer unions in Parliament today. Farmers, who are struggling with inflation, rising costs and uncertainty about MSP, are now being made unprepared to face foreign crops equipped with heavy subsidies and mechanical power.

This is not a fight for equality, this is one-sided pressure. Hollow assurances from the government will no longer suffice. The future of farmers cannot be negotiated without their consent. Whatever happens, I and the Congress Party stand with the farmers of India for their rights, security and respect.
