“This is not the first time some treated me like that”: Jasprit Bumrah opens up on getting hit by Sam Konstas

Jasprit Bumrah is not worried about Sam Konstas as he is not the first batter who has hammered him for fours and sixes in cricket. The Indian speedster couldn’t control the Australian Test debutant and conceded a lot of runs on Day 1 of the fourth Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The 19-year-old amassed 60 runs off 65 balls to lead the charge of his team.

Bumrah was asked about Sam Konstas’ attacking batting and the seamer was chilled out. “I am not thinking too much. This is not the first time someone treated me like that. I am playing T20 cricket for a long time and have experienced such moments in the past.

“I was fancying my chance against Sam Konstas, who played brilliantly on that day. It happens in cricket,” Jasprit Bumrah said.

Bumrah doesn’t think that the ongoing series against Australia is his best. ‘”It is not the best series. I have bowled better than this in some of the series in the past. My job is to take wickets and this is what I am doing for my team,” he added.

Bumrah took four wickets in the first innings of the Melbourne Test to taken his tally to 25 and he would be needed on Day four of the contest when Australia come out to bat for the second time.
