This is not the time of struggle for the world, PM Modi's emotional address in the Parliament of Guyana

Georgetown: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a special session of the Guyana Parliament on Thursday. During this he said that the friendship between Guyana and India is very old. Indians had set foot on this land 180 years ago. Both have the same yearning for freedom. Here, people close to Gandhiji fought together for independence and got independence and today both our countries are strengthening democracy.

He further said that every effort to strengthen democracy in Guyana is strengthening the world. Today the global situation will have to be constantly monitored. When we got independence, the challenges were different, today in the 21st century the challenges are different. The systems and institutions built after the Second World War are crumbling.

'The world is stuck in some matters'

After Corona, the world was supposed to move towards a new world order, but today the world is stuck in some other matters. If we work in the spirit of humanity first, we remain committed to working for humanity. We are strengthening democracy in every ups and downs and there is no better medium than democracy. Democracy wishes every citizen his/her rights and a bright future.

'This is not the time for conflict'

The Prime Minister said, “This is not the time for conflict for the world, this is the time to identify and remove the conditions that create conflict.
