Along with this, he appealed to the Naxalites to lay down their arms and join the mainstream. Our government does not want to talk to anyone who is attacking innocents with weapons. A red carpet has been laid for those who want to give up their weapons and surrender. But those who adopt the path of violence will have to face strict action. The Home Minister stressed that Naxalism benefits neither those who take up arms, nor the tribals, nor the security personnel. Only peace and development is the path to progress in this region.
Responding to the discussion on Naxalism, the Home Minister clearly said that the root cause of leftist extremism in the country is not lack of development, poverty or injustice, but a special ideology. He stressed that to solve the Naxal problem, the Modi government is emphasizing on strict security policy along with development.
