He left Virat Kohli behind and secured himself the second position on the podium. Rohit Sharma remains on top, but Babar is just 40 runs away from breaking Rohit Sharma's record of 4231 runs in T20 Internationals.

Babar Azam is getting closer to the top spot. While the Indians will be busy with the Border-Gavaskar Trophy till January 7, 2025, Zimbabwe will host the Pakistani cricket team for a 3-match ODI and 3-match T20 series.

The first T20 will be played on December 1 and there is every possibility of Babar Azam reaching the top spot. 'Records are meant to be broken'. The game of cricket proves this. Virat, Rohit and Babar are all world-class athletes but it is a matter of time to see who will be next in line.
