This road will be widened in UP, development will gain momentum

Baliya. The long standing demand of the people in Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh is now going to be fulfilled. The road connecting Sonauli-Ballia road to fifteen blocks of the district will soon be widened. Approximately Rs 3.38 crore will be spent on this project. The widening of the road is expected to provide major relief to thousands of people in the area.

Plan to increase road width

According to Public Works Department (PWD) officials, at present the width of this road is about 3 meters. Due to such small width, it often becomes difficult for two big vehicles to pass together, due to which there is a possibility of jam and accident. Under the proposed plan, the road will be widened by about two and a half meters, taking its total width to about 5.5 meters.

Many villages will benefit

Pandah Marg connecting to Sonauli-Ballia Highway is considered very important for the area. This road connects many nearby villages including Sandwapur, Tikodha, Pandah and Chadwabarwan to the main road. More than 50 thousand people are expected to get direct benefits from the widening of the road. Apart from this, this route is also important for the people going to Sikandarpur, hence with the improvement of the road, there can be a big improvement in the regional traffic system.

Villagers will get relief

Local villagers say that due to the narrowness of the road, traffic jams often occur. When two vehicles come face to face, one vehicle has to stop for a long time. The situation becomes worse during the rainy season, due to which people have to face a lot of trouble. The villagers were demanding widening of this road for a long time, on which the administration has now started taking action.

The department gave information

According to Kamal Kant, Executive Engineer of the Provincial Section of the Public Works Department, an amount of about Rs 140 lakh has been sanctioned by the government for this project. After the widening of the road, the people of the area will get a lot of convenience in transportation and development will also gain momentum.
