This road will be widened in UP, good news for the people

Kanpur: Another big step is being taken towards strengthening the infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh. The widening of Naubasta-Hamirpur Road, the main road in the southern part of the industrial city Kanpur, is going to start soon, which is expected to provide relief to the people who have been suffering from the problem of traffic jam for a long time.

Actually, the work on this project to be built at a cost of Rs 8.15 crore will be started by the end of April. This project will be completed under the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI). Earlier, despite the budget being approved, the work could not start due to delay in metro construction and tender process, but now all the obstacles have been removed.

Under the widening of this road, about 4 km long stretch will be converted into four lane. At present the width of the road is about 7.5 meters, which will be increased to 10-10 meters on both sides. This will reduce traffic pressure and provide great relief from daily traffic jams.

This route from Naubasta intersection to Bingawan via Gallamandi is one of the busiest roads in the city. Thousands of vehicles pass through here every day, especially during peak hours, the situation becomes very bad. In such a situation, this step of road widening will bring relief to lakhs of people.

More than five lakh population will directly benefit from this project. For the people of areas like Kidwai Nagar, Naubasta, Barra, Ramaipur, Bidhnu, Ghatampur and Patara, commuting will become much easier than before. Besides, the development of surrounding villages and towns will also get a new impetus.

Experts believe that road widening will not only reduce the problem of traffic jams but will also promote business activities. Better connectivity will also see growth in local markets, industries and employment opportunities.
