Lucknow. Before the Panchayat elections in UP, a big step is being taken to make administrative work digital and transparent. The state government has decided that after the secretariat and district headquarters, now the e-office system will be implemented in all 826 development blocks (blocks). A budget of more than Rs 15 crore has already been released for this scheme.
Importance of e-office at block level
With the implementation of e-office system at the block level, problems like pending or lost files will be eliminated. Apart from this, monitoring of rural development schemes can be done in real-time, so that the benefits of the schemes can reach the general public in a timely and accurate manner.
Necessary equipment and preparation
To make this scheme successful, modern facilities like computers, laptops, printers and high-speed internet have been made available to each block. Block level employees will receive special training to operate the e-office software. Also, District Panchayat Raj Officer and Withdrawal-Distribution Officer have been given the responsibility of monitoring the budget and process.
