Australian cricketer Travis Head and his wife Jessica have once again become victims of heavy trolling on social media. This matter came to light during IPL 2026 after an on-field brawl between Virat Kohli and Travis Head, which later went viral on social media. Now on this controversy, Head’s wife Jessica said that after this controversy, she has become a victim of tremendous trolling.
According to Jessica, after the match, abuse, threatening messages and offensive comments were sent to her, her husband Travis Head and their family and friends on social media. This match was played between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on 22 May, after which the controversy escalated further.

Repetition of trolling like World Cup
Jessica told Australian media ‘The Advertiser’ that this is not the first time she has faced such a situation. He told that even after the 2023 ODI World Cup Final, World Test Championship Final and 2024 Boxing Day Test, he had to face similar online trolling. He said, ‘It looks exactly the same as what happened after the World Cup. There were a lot of hate messages on social media. We are fine but my friends and family are also being targeted.
Jessica revealed that in previous cases even her younger daughter had received online threats. He appealed to the fans to take the game in the spirit of the game and maintain decorum on social media. He said that passion is important in sports but it should also be remembered that behind the players are real families and human beings, who are harmed by such hatred.

How did the Kohli-head controversy start?
This whole controversy started during the IPL 2026 match when the match was being played between SRH and RCB. It was told that there was a heated argument on the field between Travis Head and Virat Kohli, in which both of them replied to each other. Even when the players were shaking hands after the match, the tension was clearly visible. Kohli chose to proceed without shaking hands with the head, after which the matter became more viral on social media and online trolling started.
