A bomb threat was received at Kolkata Airport on Saturday. This flight is IndiGo flight 6E3074. This flight was going from Kolkata to Shillong. It was aborted after a bomb threat was received just before takeoff.
This flight was scheduled to take off at 9:15 am. During boarding, crew members found a piece of paper in the toilet compartment of the plane, in which it was written that a bomb was placed on the plane. As soon as this note was received, all the passengers were immediately evacuated and the plane was taken to the isolation bay.

Airport search, what was found?
The director of Kolkata Airport said that the security check is still going on. The bomb disposal team and other agencies are conducting a thorough search of the plane. No suspicious object has been found yet, but all necessary steps are being taken as a precaution.

What has Indigo said?
Indigo also issued a statement saying that they immediately informed the concerned authorities and are fully cooperating in the investigation. The company apologized for the inconvenience caused to passengers and said that the safety of passengers, crew and the plane is their biggest priority.

Last month too, a similar bomb threat note was found in an Indigo flight, which was later found to be fake. Investigation is being done.
