Three AAP Rajya Sabha MPs including Raghav Chadha join BJP, National President Nitin Naveen gets membership
New Delhi. The Aam Aadmi (AAP) party has suffered a huge political setback. Its three Rajya Sabha MPs joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday. Earlier, Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha had announced that these MPs would join BJP.

Addressing a press conference along with Sandeep Pathak and Ashok Mittal, AAP MP Raghav Chadha had said that we have decided that being two-thirds of AAP members in the Rajya Sabha, we will merge ourselves with the BJP using the provisions of the Constitution of India. Raghav Chadha met BJP National President Nitin Nabin at his office in Delhi and took membership of the party.
Aam Aadmi Party got a big blow
Earlier, Raghav Chadha announced that he will join the Bharatiya Janata Party along with two-thirds of the Rajya Sabha MPs of the Aam Aadmi Party. The move is being considered a major blow to former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and comes just weeks after reports of his alleged downgrading within the party. Addressing a press conference on Friday, Chadha said that we have decided that two-thirds of the AAP members in the Rajya Sabha will merge themselves with the BJP using the provisions of the Constitution of India.
