Three people have been arrested for gold smuggling at Indira Gandhi International Airport. It has been told by customer officials that the accused had come to Delhi from Dubai on 25 October 2024 by flight number SG-12.

It has been informed by the officials that during the investigation, no suspicious substance was found in any person's possession, but when the DFMD investigation of the accused was going on, when signals were received from the machine, the officials became alert.
Officials said that gold has been recovered from the accused which they had coated with silver water. All the gold was in the form of bangles. The weight of the recovered gold is 1025 Gms. The accused had hidden the gold in their sleeves. Three accused had hidden the gold bangles inside their sleeves. Legal action is being taken against the accused.
