Why was there controversy regarding runout?

Miraj first stopped the ball with his foot, at that time Salman Ali Aga was standing in the middle of the pitch and the ball went near his feet. After this Miraj picked up the ball and hit it straight on the stumps. The decision went to the third umpire, who declared Salman Ali Aga run out. After being given out, Salman looked very angry and he also had an argument with Litton Das. In anger, he threw his gloves on the field and also threw his helmet while returning to the pavilion.
