Ticket to Lakshmi Verma from Chhattisgarh, Sanjay Bhatia from Haryana in the fray
Bharatiya Janata Party has announced the names of its candidates for the biennial elections of Rajya Sabha (Chhattisgarh Rajya Sabha Election). The party has made Laxmi Verma its candidate from Chhattisgarh. With this decision, political activities in the state have intensified and discussion of new strategies has started on the board of Rajya Sabha.

According to BJP sources, organizational experience, regional representation and political equations have been kept in mind in candidate selection. The announcement of Lakshmi Verma’s name is being seen as a balancing strategy within the party.
In the same list, Sanjay Bhatia from Haryana has also been declared a candidate for the Rajya Sabha elections (Chhattisgarh Rajya Sabha Election). Sanjay Bhatia has been an MP from Karnal Lok Sabha constituency in 2019 and has been playing an active role in the organization. In the year 2024, he left his seat as per the decision of the central leadership.
