TikTok full stop in America…app removed from everywhere, still the company is hopeful of this

New York: The app has been removed from major app stores on Saturday evening, shortly before the federal law banning the popular social media platform 'TikTok' in the US comes into effect. The app was no longer available in Apple and Google's Play Store as of 10:30 pm Eastern Standard Time. Under a law, the launch of these apps from Apple and Google Play Store has been banned.

Under the law, TikTok's parent company ByteDance has been asked to sell the platform or face a ban in the US.

alternative to tiktok

Due to the ban on TikTok in America, many American users are turning to alternative social media apps. The most popular option among these is China's social media app Xiaohongshu. According to a New York Times report, a woman named Manimatana Li, who had more than 10,000 followers on TikTok, urged her followers to connect with Xiaohongshu. Lee made videos of her dancing with her child and washing dishes, one of which received over a million views. Lee said, “If TikTok is banned, we will all move to this Chinese app.” This trend is becoming increasingly popular.
