Tilak Verma became the second youngest player after Yashasvi Jaiswal to score a century in T20I.

With the help of Tilak Verma's first international century, India scored 219 runs for six wickets in the third T20 match against South Africa on Wednesday. In the match being played in Centurion, Tilak Verma completed his century in 51 balls. Tilak Verma has become the second youngest player after Yashasvi Jaiswal to score a T20I century. The 22-year-old young player scored his first century in the 19th match of T20 International.

Tilak Verma remained unbeaten after scoring 107 runs. He hit seven sixes and eight fours in his innings. Thanks to his innings, India made the highest total in South Africa. Tilak was well supported by Abhishek Verma who played an aggressive inning of 50 runs. Earlier, South African captain Aiden McCram won the toss and decided to bowl. Abhishek, recovering from poor form, scored 50 runs in 25 balls with the help of five sixes and three fours.

Tilak played with full confidence and hit strokes all around the field. He added 107 runs with Abhishek for the second wicket. Earlier, Sanju Samson was out without opening the account. Keshav Maharaj controlled the run rate in the middle overs but Tilak gave India a big score by scoring 52 runs in 22 balls in the last six overs. Captain Suryakumar Yadav (1), Hardik Pandya (18) and Rinku Singh (8) failed.
