Ingredients needed to make vermicelli pulao
– Vermicelli (Vermicelli): 1 cup
– Oil/Ghee: 2 tbsp
– Cumin: 1/2 tsp
– Onion: 1 (finely chopped)
– Green chilli: 2 (finely chopped)
– Ginger: 1/2 tsp (grated)
– Capsicum: 1/4 cup (finely chopped)
– Carrot: 1/4 cup (grated)
– Peas: 1/4 cup (boiled)
– Salt: as per taste
– Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
– Red chilli powder: 1/2 tsp
– Coriander powder: 1/2 tsp
– Water: 1.5 cups
– Coriander leaves: 2 tbsp (for garnishing)
How to make Vermicelli Pulao
1. Fry Vermicelli:
1. Heat 1 tablespoon ghee or oil in a pan.
2. Add vermicelli in it and fry it till golden brown while stirring continuously on low flame.
3. Take out the roasted vermicelli in a plate and keep it aside.

2. Add spices and vegetables:
1. Add some oil or ghee in the same pan.
2. Add cumin seeds and let it splutter.
3. Then add finely chopped onion, green chilli and ginger and fry until the onion turns light golden.
4. Now add capsicum, carrots and peas. Let these vegetables cook for 2-3 minutes.
3. Add spices:
1. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder.
2. Mix these spices well and fry for 1-2 minutes so that the flavor of the spices comes out.
Add vermicelli and water:
1. Now add roasted vermicelli and mix well with the vegetables.
2. Add water, add salt and cover and let it cook for 5-7 minutes, till the water is completely absorbed.
5. Garnish and Serve:
1. After the vermicelli pulao is ready, garnish it with coriander leaves.
2. Serve hot vermicelli pulao with raita or pickle.
