BCCI imposed ban
Let us tell you, in IPL 2026, Tim David has been in the headlines more due to violation of rules than his performance. In the title match against Gujarat Titans, he threw a bag of ice towards umpire Nitin Menon. Earlier in the match against Mumbai Indians, he had shown the middle finger. Taking action against his misdeeds, BCCI has banned him for one match. He will not be able to play the first match of IPL 2027. The board also fined him 50 percent of his match fee and gave him 2 demerit points.
