Timbl Broadband services not restored, customers angry at ‘Trustpilot’, officials accused of ‘mega scam’
Kashipur (Uttarakhand). If you live in Kashipur and are a user of private broadband company ‘Timbl’, then there is no good news for you even today on 24th July. Timbl Broadband services, which suddenly stopped across the city about 15 days ago, have not been restored till date. Thousands of consumers are facing digital blackout, and responsible officials of the company are still missing. Meanwhile, there has been a flood of complaints against the company on the global review platform ‘Trustpilot’, making it clear that this problem is not limited to Kashipur only, but the company’s attitude is questionable at the all India level.
‘Lots of complaints’ on Trustpilot, ratings boom
In fact, amidst the chaos in Kashipur, when the reviews of Timbl Broadband were seen on ‘Trustpilot’, the company was completely exposed. (link: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.timbl.co.in) But the anger of consumers is on the seventh sky. The company has received a very poor rating of only 2.4 out of 5. Here, users from all over the country have cursed the company for their stuck money and poor service.
The same pattern has emerged in hundreds of complaints – “Money taken, but connection not established,” “Internet remains down for weeks,” “Customer care never picks up the phone,” and “Employees are extremely rude.” One consumer wrote, “Timbl Broadband is a big scam, taking service from them means wastage of your money and time.”
Patience broken: Now ‘FIR’ and ‘Consumer Court’ will take place
When Timbl Broadband signal did not come in any area in Kashipur even till the morning of 24th July, the patience of consumers broke. Initially people thought that it was a minor technical glitch which would be rectified in a day or two, but now it has become clear that the company has pulled out of Kashipur without any notice. A group of local consumers said that they are now fully prepared to file a police case (FIR) against the local and zonal officials of the company for ‘fraud’ and ‘breach of trust’. Along with this, the consumer court will also be approached to get the advance recharge money back.
The most surprising and angry thing is that the attitude of the officials of Timbl Broadband remains very shameful. Company officials Manish and Vivek Singh, whom UPUKLive tried to contact, did not receive calls even today, July 24. They are either disconnecting the phone or they have switched off their numbers.
