Thippiri Tirupathi Surrender: Maoists have suffered a major setback under Operation Kagar. Prominent Maoist party leader Tippari Tirupati alias Dev Ji and central committee member Malla Rajireddy, along with 16 other Maoists, surrendered before the Telangana SIB on February 22.

The aim of this operation is to end the Maoist movement by March 31, and this success is an important step in this direction. According to media reports, the surrendered Maoist leaders will be presented publicly in the next two days.

Chaos due to continuous encounters

Due to continuous encounters and surrender of key leaders, the Maoist movement now seems to be reaching its final stage. There was panic in the Maoist movement after the encounter of Ramakrishna in 2021, after which top leaders like Hidma, Sambala Keshav Rao were also killed in the encounter. After this Ashanna, Mallojula Venugopal and other leaders surrendered, and Ganapathy fled abroad. Now the search for Bade Chokkarao is going on. According to reports, now only nominal Maoists are left in the forests.
