TMC is a symbol of ‘appeasement and mafia rule’… CM Yogi said in Purba Medinipur – Women are unsafe in Bengal, land is occupied by infiltrators.
Purba Medinipur. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched a scathing attack on the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government, saying that this party is a symbol of ‘appeasement, mafia rule and commission’. He said that the state is under the control of infiltrators and people are living in fear and helplessness. Addressing a public meeting here on Sunday, CM Yogi said, “Trinamool has today become synonymous with ‘appeasement, mafia raj and commission’, which has hindered the development of Bengal.”
Questioning Trinamool’s slogan of ‘Maa, Mati, Manush’, he said that in today’s Bengal, women are unsafe, land is in the possession of infiltrators and people are helpless. He called upon the public to bring about change to restore Bengal’s cultural identity, security and path of development. Recalling the rich cultural heritage of Bengal, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said that it is the land of inspiration that has guided India.
He recalled how Swami Vivekananda spread the message of Sanatan Dharma in the world. He also remembered the sacrifices of Khudiram Bose and Subhash Chandra Bose. He also mentioned the contributions of Ramakrishna Paramahansa, Lahiri Mahasaya and Syama Prasad Mukherjee as well as cultural icons like Rabindranath Tagore and Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, whose works ‘Jana Gana Mana’ and ‘Vande Mataram’ gave strength to the freedom movement.
CM Yogi, however, said that today Bengal is struggling with appeasement, corruption, chaos and violence. Farmers are not getting fair price for their produce. He alleged that efforts to change the demography of Bengal and appeasement politics were hindering development. “Bengal once contributed about one-third of India’s economy, but due to political interference, industries, MSMEs and cultural institutions have weakened,” he said.
The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh blamed the governments of Congress, Left and now Trinamool for this decline. He urged the people to ensure that this holy land of Maa Kali and Maa Durga does not become a symbol of chaos. Yogi said, “The anarchy, violence and appeasement being seen in Bengal today is similar or worse than the situation in Uttar Pradesh before 2017.”
He said that after the formation of the double engine government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2017, the situation has changed in Uttar Pradesh, there are no riots or curfew there now. The Chief Minister described the construction of the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya as a symbol of this change and said that Bengal also needs similar development and good governance.
He said that statements like calling for Urdu from half the population of Bengal are an attempt to weaken the Bengali identity. He warned that strict action would be taken against those who harm Bengal’s culture, women’s safety or employment of youth, like in Uttar Pradesh.
He said, “The ‘bulldozer’ in UP is not only for building roads but also for taking action against mafias.” Yogi alleged efforts to change the demography in districts like Malda, Murshidabad, Uttar Dinajpur, Nadia, Birbhum and Howrah and accused the Mamata Banerjee government of stopping Ramnavmi processions and encouraging infiltration.
The Chief Minister also raised questions on the silence of political leaders on violence against Hindus in Bangladesh. He said that this land which gave the call of Vande Mataram should regain its cultural pride. He congratulated the people for electing Abhijeet Ganguly as MP from Tamluk and sought support for Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Nirmal Khanra.
