West Bengal News: During the West Bengal Assembly elections, Jahangir Khan, who described himself as Pushpa, was made to wear shorts and paraded on the road by the police. After his arrest in many other cases including extortion, Bengal Police on Thursday paraded TMC leader Jahangir Khan on the streets of Falta. The video of being paraded on the road by the police is going viral on social media. In the viral video, Jahangir is seen wearing shorts and a half-sleeved T-shirt. Police took Pushpa to the market area of Falta.

People are making fun of the sight of being paraded around wearing shorts. Jahangir was absconding to avoid police arrest. On Monday, Bengal Police arrested Khan near the India-Nepal border. Several FIRs are registered against Jahangir in Falta Police Station. After his arrest, Khan was sent to 5-day police custody by a Diamond Harbor court.

Was underground since elections
Let us tell you, Jahangir Khan was going underground since the elections. STF was looking for Khan in many other cases including post-poll violence. Former TMC MLA from Falta Jahangir Khan was caught by the Special Task Force of Police from Nepal border. According to the information, he was preparing to flee to Nepal.
Seven cases including murder registered
Seven criminal cases are registered against former TMC MLA Jahangir Khan. An FIR has been lodged under many serious sections including attempt to murder, extortion and inciting riot. Apart from this, a case of money laundering is also registered. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is investigating this. Jahangir Khan is considered close to TMC general secretary and Lok Sabha MP Abhishek Banerjee. Jahangir was also made a candidate in the Falta by-election, but just before the elections, Jahangir announced his withdrawal.

‘Pushpa’ made during elections
During the assembly elections, Jahangir Khan came into limelight when during the campaign he openly threatened IPS Ajaypal Sharma and said in the style of Pushpa that if Ajaypal Sharma is Singham then I am Pushpa, Pushpa will not bow down. However, immediately after the assembly elections, Jahangir Khan’s tone changed and he went underground to avoid arrest.
