- Koel Mallik: Cultural and Women’s Representation- By fielding popular Bengali actress Koyal Mallik as its candidate, the party has also emphasized on cultural identity and women’s representation. Mallik, who comes from a film family, has considerable influence among the youth and women in the state.
What is TMC’s strategy?
- This list of TMC is considered to be a mixture of administrative experience, legal expertise, political maturity and cultural influence.
- Party leader Mahua Moitra also congratulated the four candidates and wished them all the best for their new role in Parliament.
- However, Bharatiya Janata Party targeted TMC over these names and raised questions on the selection of candidates.
