TMC released manifesto, Mamta made ’10 promises of Didi’, big increase in Lakshmi Bhandar –
Shiv Shankar Savita- Trinamool Congress (TMC) has released its election manifesto on Friday regarding the West Bengal Assembly elections 2026. Releasing this manifesto issued by the party in 6 languages, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced ‘Didi’s 10 promises’. On this occasion, Mamata Banerjee fiercely targeted the Narendra Modi government at the Centre. He said that the purpose of TMC’s promises is to protect the increasing interference of the Center and the identity of Bengal. He alleged that the central government was conspiring to take away the voting rights of the citizens and weaken the state. Mamata Banerjee said that her government has worked to improve health services, as a result of which the rate of institutional delivery has increased to 99.95 percent, which was earlier only 58 percent. He also promised modernization of schools, the proposal for which has already been approved by the Cabinet.
- Increase in Laxmi Bhandar Scheme: An increase of Rs 500 has been made in the ongoing Lakshmi Bhandar Scheme for the empowerment of women. Now general category women will be given Rs 1500 instead of Rs 1000 and SC/ST women will be given Rs 1700 per month instead of Rs 1200.
- Yuva Sathi Scheme will continue: ‘Yuva Sathi’ scheme will be continued to provide financial assistance to the unemployed youth of the state. Under this, financial assistance of Rs 1,500 will be provided every month to unemployed youth.
- Agriculture budget of Rs 30,000 crore: An agriculture budget of Rs 30,000 crore will be passed for the welfare of farmers and landless farmers. Its objective is to modernize the agricultural sector and provide assistance on a large scale.
- A permanent home for every family: A promise has been made to provide permanent housing to all the families of the state. With this, homeless people will get the facility of roof.
- Piped water to every house: The pipeline system will be expanded to provide clean drinking water to all households.
- ‘Duare Chikitsa’ Camp: Health camps will be organized annually in every block and city, so that people can get treatment facilities near their homes.
- Upgradation of Government Schools: Under the ‘Banglar Shikshayatan’ scheme, the infrastructure of all government schools will be improved.
- Making Bengal a trade hub: Modern logistics, ports and global trade centers will be established to develop Eastern India as a business hub.
- Pension extension for the elderly: Existing beneficiaries will continue to receive pension without any interruption and gradually all eligible senior citizens will be brought under its ambit.
- 7 new districts will be created: New districts and urban bodies will be expanded for administrative reforms. Under this, 7 new districts will be formed.
