TMKOC fame Gurucharan Singh has stopped eating and is now very weak; confirms friend

In Mumbai, actor Gurucharan Singh, who rose to fame as Roshan Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, was admitted to the hospital recently. According to a health update sent by his friend Bhakti Soni, he has stopped eating and is now “very weak.”

Bhakti discussed his health and financial difficulties in an interview with Indian Express.

Bhakti said: “I have been trying to get in touch with him and his family for the last couple of days, but their phones are switched off. So, right now, I don’t have an update on his health. Three days ago, when he was hospitalised, I spoke to his mother. Gurucharan se meri koi baat chit hui nahi hai abhi (I haven’t spoken to Gurucharan). I don’t know what’s happening with him, but from what I heard last, he is not even able to talk. He is very weak, I think.”

She added, “He had stopped eating ever since he got back (home) three months ago. I don’t exactly know when he did. He had stopped eating; he was not consuming a solid diet. After that, in the last few days, he did not have any water either, so he fell unconscious. Anyway, he had stopped eating food. He was only on some liquid diet, some milkshakes, coconut water type… He has been following this diet for some time”

She added that although Gurucharan’s family had urged her to ask him for water at the very least, he was not paying attention. She was also questioned during the interview about whether Gurucharan’s illness was caused by stress. In response, Bhakti revealed that he was having problems with his finances and his property.

She added that because Gurucharan was not making money, his family no longer valued him. Bhakti also denied rumors that Gurucharan intended to flee after taking “sanyas.” He is “ill and has given up food and all because he wants to die,” she claimed.

Previously, this week, the actor posted a video of himself relaxing on the hospital bed on Instagram. Gurucharan stated in the video that he was in very bad health. The star shared a view of his hospital room as well. A cannula was visible on his hand as he panned the camera in that direction.
