TN decided to bid farewell to DMK govt: PM – Read
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that Tamil Nadu has decided to bid farewell to the ruling DMK government.
In a post shared in Tamil on social media, Modi claimed that the mood in the state clearly indicates a desire for change ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections.
Referring to the growing support for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), the Prime Minister said people are looking towards an alternative that ensures development, good governance and a better future. His remarks come at a time when the BJP and its allies are intensifying political activities in the state.
Modi’s statement is also seen as part of the NDA’s broader effort to strengthen its presence in Tamil Nadu and challenge the DMK-led government. The political temperature in the state is expected to rise further as parties gear up for the upcoming Assembly polls.
