Chhattisgarh:- Vaishali Nagar assembly constituency MLA Rikesh Sen has today announced a big gift for the people of the area on the auspicious occasion of Chaitra Navratri. Reiterating his resolve to provide health services to the last person of the society, he has decided to launch ‘Cataract Free Vaishali Nagar’ campaign from June 15.

Shri Sen said that my aim is that no elderly or needy person of Vaishali city should live in darkness due to lack of money. This festival of Navratri is a festival of power and service, that is why today we have resolved to make health facilities accessible to every home.

Operation and VIP facilities for just Rs 1

Under this service, cataract operation of needy patients of Vaishali Nagar Assembly will be done in well-equipped and private hospitals of the district. The special thing is that patients will have to pay only a token amount of Re 1 for this major operation. Apart from this, nutritious breakfast and food both the times for the patient during hospitalization will also be provided by the MLA completely free of cost.

Registration starts from June 15

To avail the benefits of this scheme, interested citizens will be able to register themselves from June 15 at the MLA office located at Zero Road, Shanti Nagar. A special desk will be set up for this in the MLA’s office.

Launch of ‘Power Chashma’ service from April 2

While sharing the date of another important scheme of his announced earlier, MLA Rikesh Sen said that from April 2, the service of providing powered glasses for just Re 1 to the residents of Vaishali Nagar will be formally started.

MLA’s office becomes center of public welfare services

It is noteworthy that MLA Office Shanti Nagar has currently become a unique model of public service. Apart from the facilities of X-ray, sonography and dialysis, helmet bank and blanket bank, arrangements for bridal make-up, mehendi and filtered water for sports/cultural/social events are already underway at a token rate of just Re 1.
