Today's weather: Weather will change in North India, chances of rain-ola rain, heat wave in many states

Obnews Desk: Many states of North India can see a big change in weather. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the influence of western disturbances may cause thunderstorms and hailstorms in Haryana, western Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan on 15 March. At the same time, there is a possibility of rain in Punjab till March 16. On the other hand, there is a possibility of lightning and rain in eastern Uttar Pradesh between 15 and 17 March. In addition, heavy rains, snowfall and thunderstorm are estimated in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh. On the other hand, warnings have been issued in Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Telangana and parts of Andhra Pradesh.

People have been advised to be vigilant amidst changing weather across the country. Due to rain and hailstorm, farmers need to take necessary steps to protect their crops, while in the heat affected areas, people have been advised to take precautions to avoid heat.

Possibility of rain, snowfall and thunderstorms in many states

The effect of western disturbance over North Pakistan and Jammu has created a cyclonic atmosphere circulation in Rajasthan and Assam, which will cause heavy rains and snowfall on 15–16 March. There is a possibility of heavy rains in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal and Uttarakhand, while Uttarakhand, Haryana and western UP may have hailstorm. Punjab, Rajasthan and Northeast states may blow strong winds at a speed of 30-50 km/h. Very heavy rains are possible in Arunachal Pradesh on 17 March, while hailstorms may fall in Assam, Nagaland and Manipur on 15 March. The weather may calm down after March 19.

Fear of rain and hailstorm in North India

According to the Meteorological Department, the hilly areas of North India may cause heavy rains and snowfall due to western disturbances. There is a possibility of rain and hailstorm in Haryana, western Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan on 15 March. Punjab may receive light to moderate rainfall till 16 March. At the same time, there is a possibility of rain and lightning in eastern Uttar Pradesh from 15 to 17 March.

Temperature fluctuations and heat threat

According to meteorologists, in the next few days, the temperature in the plains of North India may have a drop of 2-3 degrees. However, after this the temperature will start rising again. On the other hand, heat stroke is expected in many areas of Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh. The temperature in Jharsuguda, Odisha has been recorded at 41.8 degrees Celsius, while Kutch and Diu also saw outbreak of scorching heat.
