IMD Weather Update : New Delhi : At present, unseasonal rains have increased in summer. We are experiencing a dual environment of intense heat in the morning and light rain in the evening. This environment has been created in various states of the country and the biggest impact has been on the farmers. Due to untimely rains, the crops grown are getting destroyed. Meanwhile, 22 states of the country have been alerted by the Meteorological Department for the next 92 hours. This nationwide weather instability is likely to continue till April 5. The climate in most parts of India is dual. Sometimes it will be hot and sometimes heavy rain cannot be predicted. This has fooled the common people. On one hand, while the heat of the sun is gradually increasing, the cloudiness in the sky is confusing people. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a new warning, according to which the weather will change once again in 22 states across the country. Although the intensity of the previous westerly winds has decreased, its effects are clearly visible from the plains to the high mountains of North India.
Meteorological Department has warned of rain in Maharashtra. A heavy rain warning has been issued from March 31 to April 4. In the satellite photographs, it has been seen that a large amount of black clouds have formed in Maharashtra and mainly in Mumbai and Pune. Thick clouds over North India are now slowly moving southwards and West India is likely to be affected the most.

Hailstorm in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar

Residents of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, including the capital Delhi, have been warned to be prepared for heavy rains in the coming hours. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, Delhi will receive light rain with thunder on 3rd and 4th April, but there is also a high possibility of hailstorm. The situation could be more severe in Uttar Pradesh, where heavy rainfall with gusty winds of 50 to 70 kmph has been warned on April 4 and 5.
Weather in Bihar is also likely to remain very unstable on April 5 and 6, with risk of heavy rain and lightning. This changing climate poses a major challenge to farmers, as hailstorms can cause major damage to standing crops. Similar warnings have been issued in states like Punjab and Haryana, with temperatures likely to remain below normal in northwest India.

Heavy rain warning in North Eastern states

The climate is severe in northern and central India, as well as in the northeastern states. Heavy rain warning has been issued in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya. These states, along with parts of West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh, received moderate rainfall during the last 24 hours.

The cyclonic condition over Rajasthan has now gradually moved towards Northeast Rajasthan, which may increase rainfall with dust storms and thundershowers there. Snowfall and rain are likely to continue in hilly states like Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during this changing weather. People are being advised to come out only after receiving accurate weather information and take shelter in safe places during bad weather.
