Today’s LPG gas cylinder update 5 June 2026: Big change in rates
Today, on June 5, 2026, new prices of LPG gas cylinders have been released. Amidst fluctuations in the international market and tension in West Asia, oil companies have increased the prices of commercial cylinders. At the same time, the prices of domestic LPG cylinders have been kept stable for the time being, which has provided some relief to the common consumers. Constant changes are being seen in gas prices across the country.
Domestic LPG cylinder prices: No change in 14.2 kg
There has been no increase in the prices of domestic 14.2 kg LPG cylinders this time. Its price in Delhi remains stable at ₹913, while in Patna it has reached ₹1,002.50. Prices are already hovering around ₹1000 in many cities. However, the companies have clarified that domestic gas rates have been kept stable for the time being, which has brought great relief to the general public.
Commercial LPG cylinder becomes expensive, hotels and restaurants affected
The price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has been increased from ₹ 42 to ₹ 53.50. Now its rate in Delhi has become ₹ 3,113.50. At the same time, there has been a big increase in prices in cities like Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad. This is directly affecting businesses like hotels, dhabas and restaurants, because their operation costs have increased.
New rates of gas cylinders in different cities
LPG prices vary in different cities of the country depending on tax and transport charges. In Kolkata, domestic cylinder is ₹939 and commercial is ₹3,255.50. Prices have reached ₹912.50 and ₹3,067.50 in Mumbai, ₹928.50 and ₹3,283.00 in Chennai, while prices have reached ₹915.50 and ₹3,198.00 in Bengaluru. These rising prices have affected both the general and business classes.
Small 5 kg cylinders also expensive, little impact on general public
The prices of small 5 kg FTL LPG cylinder have also been increased by ₹11. This cylinder is especially used for students, renters and small families. After the increase, its refilling has also become more expensive than before. Overall, this change in the prices of gas cylinders is gradually affecting the budget of the common people, although the stability of domestic big cylinders is currently providing relief.
