Today's weather: Effect of cold reduced in Delhi NCR, rain alert in these states
New Delhi: The bright sunshine in Delhi on Sunday made people feel the heat. Although the cold continues due to morning and evening fog, people are getting some respite from the cold due to the sunshine coming out during the day for three consecutive days. But this relief may last only for a few days because the Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in Delhi on 22 and 23 January, due to which the cold may return again.
Changing weather of Delhi
While there is usually severe cold in January, this time the weather pattern in the capital seems to have changed. On Monday too, the day is expected to be sunny with light fog and cold winds. On Monday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 11 degrees Celsius and the maximum was 26 degrees Celsius.
Rainfall forecast in these states
Meanwhile, there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Rajasthan and Western Uttar Pradesh on January 22 and 23. Whereas in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Kerala, rain and lightning are expected at different places on January 19 and 20.
Condition of Himachal and Kashmir
A drop in temperature has been recorded in Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir. Light rain and snowfall may occur in Kashmir within the next 36 hours. The weather will remain clear in areas like Shimla, Kufri and Kasauli of Himachal, but there may be cold day conditions in some parts of Himachal on January 23. Let us tell you that there is a possibility of dense fog in north-eastern states like Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
