While rains and storms are continuing in North-East and Eastern India, the temperature is increasing rapidly in North-West and Central India. According to the Meteorological Department, today the heat will increase with sunshine in many states, while clouds and light rain will continue in some areas. People should take measures to prevent heatstroke during the day.

There will be bright sunshine in Delhi-NCR

The sky will be clear today in the country’s capital Delhi including Noida, Gurugram and Ghaziabad. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in the afternoon can be around 36°C to 38°C. Light cool winds blowing in the morning and evening can provide some relief.

How will the weather be in UP today?

The weather will remain mainly clear in Uttar Pradesh for the next few days. There will be strong sunshine during the day and there is a possibility of hot winds. The maximum temperature can remain between 37 to 39 degrees Celsius. There are chances of a heatwave like situation in many districts by April 15.

Weather will remain dry in Punjab and Haryana

The weather is going to be completely dry in Punjab. In cities like Amritsar and Ludhiana the temperature can reach close to 37°C. The heat seems to be even more intense in Haryana. Mild heat wave like conditions have started developing in the southern parts.

Weather condition in Uttarakhand and Himachal

The heat is increasing in the plains, but nature has shown kindness in the hilly areas. The weather will remain pleasant in Uttarakhand. There are chances of cloudy sky and light drizzle at some places, which will benefit the tourists. There may be light snowfall or rain in the higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh.

Double attack of heat and dust in Rajasthan

The temperature is continuously increasing in Rajasthan. There is a strong possibility of dust storm along with heat in many areas. Those going out in the afternoon will have to take special care of their eyes and face as visibility may be affected by the storm.

Rain and storm in Assam-Meghalaya

The weather is going to remain active in North-East India till 14th April. In Assam and Meghalaya, there may be light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and strong winds at the speed of 30-40 km/hour. There is a possibility of lightning in Arunachal Pradesh. The impact of rain and storm will also be seen in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on April 11.

Light rain expected in Bengal

The weather will remain changed in some parts of Eastern India. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain, strong winds and lightning in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim till April 12.

Where will the mercury rise?

Apart from the rainy areas, a big change in temperature will be seen. The temperature in north-west India may increase by 6-8 degrees by 16 April. There is a possibility of increase of 3-5 degrees in Central India by April 14 and 5-7 degrees in Eastern India. The temperature may increase by 2-4 degrees in Gujarat by 13 April and by 2-3 degrees in Maharashtra by 14 April. After this, there will not be much fluctuation in temperature around 15th and 16th April.
