Amidst the scorching heat, due to storms and rains, there has been some relief from the heat in many states of North India including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Bihar. According to the Meteorological Department, a series of storms and rains will be seen even today. Today the Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding rain, storm and thunderstorm in 10 states. With this, pre-monsoon activities have now officially started in many states.
Changes in the weather started in Delhi from yesterday morning itself. Even before 6 in the morning, clouds started raining with dust storm. Its direct effect was seen on the temperature and the temperature decreased. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in Delhi even today. There is a possibility of thunderstorm along with rain in Delhi, in view of which Orange Alert has been declared.

In which states will it rain?
Today there is a possibility of rain again in many states of North India. There is a possibility of rain even today in Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Amethi, Sonbhadra, Sultanpur, Aligarh and Fursatganj of Uttar Pradesh.
Storm and rain alert has been issued in all 38 districts of Bihar. There is no rain alert in most parts of Rajasthan. However, light drizzle may occur in some parts. There is a possibility of hailstorm along with thunder and lightning in many districts of Bihar, Jharkhand and eastern Uttar Pradesh today.

Even though rains are providing relief to the people from the heat in North India, the heat has become a disaster for the people in North-East India. The weather continues to be bad in Northeast India. The Meteorological Department has indicated thunderstorms and rain for the next several days. A drop in temperature will be recorded in Assam, Arunachal, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Odisha, Jharkhand and West Bengal today. The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast of torrential rain, thunder and lightning.

However, now some states have got relief from rain but in some states the scorching heat is still going on. According to the Meteorological Department, the effect of heat will be seen in Telangana, Vidarbha, Marathwada, Tamil Nadu and Rayamseela. Along with this, the effect of heat will also be seen in some parts of Madhya Pradesh. However, today the Meteorological Department has not issued a heat wave alert in any state.
