Tom Hiddleston returns in ‘The Night Manager’ Season 2: Amazon unveils trailer, first-look, and plot details | VIDEO

It’s not every day that we see a new season of a popular show arriving a decade after the original landed. But then, it’s not as long as David Lynch bringing out the third season of Twin Peaks 25 years after the second season ended. In Lynch’s case, it made sense from a narrative point of view.

Would that be the case with The Night Manager as well? We’ll find out on January 11, 2026.

The second season — also based on the work of spy fiction veteran John le Carré — of the Tom Hiddleston-fronted show will premiere on Prime Video and BBC with the first three episodes, followed by a single episode each week.

A trailer has also been unveiled, giving fans of glimpse of the mysterious new developments following the events of the first season. The new chapter will see Jonathan Pine reckoning with the after-effects of the past, while dealing with a new threat in the form of a shady businessman (Diego Calva).

The official synopsis: “Jonathan Pine (Tom Hiddleston) thought he’d buried his past. Now living as Alex Goodwin – a low-level MI6 officer running a quiet surveillance unit in London – his life is comfortingly uneventful. Then one night a chance sighting of an old Roper mercenary prompts a call to action and leads Pine to a violent encounter with a new player: Colombian businessman Teddy Dos Santos (Diego Calva). On this perilous new journey, Pine meets Roxana Bolaños (Camila Morrone), a businesswoman who reluctantly helps him infiltrate Teddy’s Colombian arms operation. Once in Colombia, Pine is plunged deep into a deadly plot involving arms and training of a guerrilla army. As allegiances splinter, Pine races to expose a conspiracy designed to destabilize a nation. And with betrayal at every turn, he must decide whose trust he needs to earn and how far he’s willing to go before it’s too late.”

Aside from Hiddleston and Calva, The Night Manager Season 2 will also feature Camila Morrone and Olivia Colman, among others. Returning cast members include Olivia Colman, Alistair Petrie, Douglas Hodge, Michael Nardone, and Noah Jupe. The new additions are Indira Varma, Paul Chahidi, and Hayley Squires.
