Tom Holland claims he saved Hollywood NOT Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise recalls making ‘Uncharted’ during COVID 19

Tom Holland’s old statement about Tom Cruise has been making rounds on the internet.

When the COVID pandemic hit the world, it affected many small- and large-scale businesses including the filming of movies.

Around the same time, when Hollywood was facing a massive setback, Cruise was filming the Mission: Impossible 7 while following all safety protocols to prevent him and the crew working on the film from contracting coronavirus.

After the virus was contained, the 63-year-old came out with MI 7 in 2023, which became a blockbuster at the box office. It is said that Cruise saved Hollywood at the time.

However, in an interview Holland claimed that he was the one to save the showbiz from crashing as he pointed out to his forgotten film, Uncharted.

He told Total Film“We also made this film at the height of COVID. “I know Tom Cruise loves to say he brought film industry back, but he forgot about this little film called Uncharted that was shooting four months before he was.”

Uncharted starred the 30-year-old actor with Mark Wahlberg. The plot revolves around these two actors, who embrace a journey to find the lost fortune of Ferdinand Magellan.

The action adventure movies was directed by Ruben Fleischer.
