Tom Holland shares touching gesture for wife Zendaya during ‘The Odyssey’

Tom Holland has shared the thoughtful way he supported his wife and co-star, Zendaya, during one of her most important scenes in The Odyssey.

During an interview with CTV’s eTalkthe 30-year-old actor revealed that he chose to stay on set to support the 29-year-old actress as she filmed Athena’s biggest scenes, despite having no scenes of his own to shoot that day.

Following Anne Hathaway’s observation that he and Zendaya shared at least one scene, Holland disclosed there was another memorable moment that didn’t make the final cut.

“We were in the same room. And I was also in … I was there when she shot her big massive scene during the siege of Troy,” he said, revealing that rather than calling it a day, he stayed put and took a front-row seat to watch.

The Spider-Man star shared that he was in “sweatpants and a hoodie,” staying out of sight in a corner while watching Zendaya bring the scene to life.

He also admitted that joining a Christopher Nolan film for the first time felt daunting, so he found comfort in castmates who had previously collaborated with the Oscar-winning filmmaker, including Hathaway, Matt Damon, and Robert Pattinson.

“(There were) veterans, that we could be like you know ‘Am I doing a good job? Like I don’t know what’s happening. But it was an amazing experience. And you know, Z feels the same,” Holland noted.

He had previously revealed that Nolan personally consulted him before bringing Zendaya on board as Athena.

Recalling his response to Nolan, the Uncharted actor remarked, “I would be honoured, that’s amazing. I’m sure she would love to.”

When will The Odyssey come out?
