Tomato chutney recipe for dosa
Ingredients:
- 2 ripe tomatoes
- 1 small onion
- 2 dried red chillies
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp jaggery or sugar
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves

- Wash and chop tomatoes into small pieces.
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, and cumin seeds.
- Now add the chopped tomatoes and cook them for 5-7 minutes, until soft.
- To th mix, add turmeric, red chilli powder and salt. Cook for 3 minutes.
- For a smooth chutney, you can blend the mixture into a fine paste.
- Now take a small pan or tempering ladle, to add little oil, dry chilli, and fry them for a minute.
- Pour this tempering over the tomato chutney and mix well.
- If you like a bit of sweetness in your chutney, add jaggery or sugar and mix well.
