Ingredients for making tomato sauce

  • 1 kg ripe red tomatoes
  • 2 to 3 teaspoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • Half a teaspoon of black pepper powder
  • Half a teaspoon of red chillies
  • 2 tablespoons of vinegar
  • 4 to 5 garlic cloves

How to make tomato sauce

First, wash the tomatoes and cut them into large pieces. Now add tomatoes and garlic in a pot and cook till soft. After the tomatoes are completely soft, let the mixture cool down and grind it finely in a mixer. Then filter this mixture with the help of strainer to separate the peel and seeds from it. Now put the strained mixture back on the gas. Add sugar, salt, black pepper powder and red chillies to it and cook on low flame. When the mixture starts to thicken, add the vinegar. Once the sauce has thickened to a suitable level, turn off the heat and allow it to cool completely. Preservative-free tasty and healthy tomato sauce that you can serve with your favorite snacks.
