Rachi: Top leaders of the Indian National Development Inclusive Alliance (India), including Congress' Rahul Gandhi and Rashtriya Janata Dal's Tejashwi Yadav, are likely to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the Hemant Soren government on November 28. This information was given by a senior Congress leader on Monday.

Hemant Soren's Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-led alliance on Saturday made a spectacular comeback in Jharkhand by winning 56 seats in the 81-member assembly and came to power for the second consecutive time, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Only 24 seats could be found.

Soren defeated Gamaliel Hembram of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from Barhat seat by a margin of 39,791 votes. The Congress leader said, “All the top leaders of 'India' are being invited to attend the swearing-in ceremony to be held at Morabadi Maidan on November 28.

Leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav are likely to attend the event.” As far as ministerial posts are concerned, there is every possibility that as per the initial plan of one ministerial post for every four seats won, there could be four ministers from Congress.

JMM contested 43 seats and won 34 seats, which is the biggest victory so far in the history of the party. Congress got 16 seats, RJD got four and CPI (ML) got two seats. As per the agreement, RJD may get one ministerial post. Meanwhile, preparations for the swearing-in ceremony are going on.

Soren met Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar on Sunday and staked claim to form the government. Earlier, the leaders of 'India' in the state had unanimously elected him as the leader of the legislative party. He resigned from the post of Chief Minister before staking claim to form the government. He will take charge as the acting Chief Minister till the swearing in on November 28.

After meeting Gangwar, Soren had told reporters, “I met the Governor. We staked claim to form the government and handed over letters of support from the coalition partners. He invited us to form the government. The swearing-in ceremony will take place on November 28.”

Soren will be sworn in as the 14th Chief Minister of Jharkhand, which was carved out of Bihar on November 15, 2000. He will take oath as Chief Minister for the fourth time. The majority figure in the state assembly is 41 seats.
