‘Toss coaching, anyone?’ :Sunil Gavaskar’s perfect punchline before India’s victory
After weeks of coin-flip heartbreak, India finally got relief, and the toss turned in their favour. The third ODI against South Africa in Visakhapatnam broke a bizarre streak in which India had lost 20 tosses in a row, a run that began after Rohit Sharma called wrong in the 2023 World Cup final against Pat Cummins.
The moment was further lightened by a humorous exchange between Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Sharma during the broadcast.
20-toss losing streak broken! Is it because lucky charm @KapilSharmaK9 is in the house?

Kapil Sharma: “How are you feeling, sir? Our team has won the toss after so many matches.”
Sunil Gavaskar: “In the first match, you don’t know what the opposition captain will say, heads or tails. In the next match, you know what the person is going to say.”
Kapil Sharma: “Why don’t you coach the team for the toss?”
Gavaskar (laughing): “If no one comes for batting coaching, then who will come for tossing coaching?”
(Nobody asks me for batting coaching, so who will come for toss coaching?)
Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed his maiden ODI century, Rohit Sharma struck a fluent 75, and Virat Kohli hammered an unbeaten 65 as India chased down 271 with ease. The nine-wicket win sealed the series 2-1, with 10.1 overs still left, a ruthless finish befitting a resurgent side.
