Tragic accident in Brazil: Plane collides with residential building, three people killed

Belo Horizonte: A plane crash that happened in a big city of Brazil became a very scary experience for the people. On Monday, a small plane lost control in Brazil’s main city Belo Horizonte and crashed directly into a residential building. Three people died in this accident, while two others were injured. According to the information, the pilot and co-pilot on board the plane lost their lives on the spot. The remaining passengers were immediately taken to the hospital. The local hospital administration said that one of the injured people died during treatment, while the condition of the remaining two people is said to be stable at present. This incident created an atmosphere of fear in the entire area.

Major damage to the building averted

According to fire department officials, the plane hit the building directly, but fortunately no one inside was injured. The building also did not suffer much damage and there is no danger of it collapsing. The video of the incident was recorded from the helicopter of a local news channel. It was clearly seen in the video that the plane was slowly coming down. He turned left in an attempt to avoid tall buildings, but ultimately collided with a three-storey building and fell into the parking area below.

Firefighters said the plane hit the stairs in the building. This was an important reason due to which the lives of the people inside were saved. If the plane had hit a flat, the damage could have been worse. An officer said that if the plane’s direction had been slightly different, it could have gone straight inside a house where people were present. In this situation the accident could have been even more serious.

Rescue operations begin quickly

The rescue team reached the spot immediately after the accident. Firefighters and other teams together evacuated the people present in the building safely. Relief work was carried out rapidly at the incident site, due to which the situation could be brought under control quickly. According to the Aeronautical Accidents Investigation and Prevention Center, a total of 153 air accidents were recorded in Brazil during the year 2025, in which 62 people lost their lives. These figures show that many challenges still exist regarding air security.
