Tragic road accident in America, 17 year old pregnant partner of Indian youth dies

Washington: A horrific road accident in America’s Ohio state has ruined the happiness of a family. In this accident, a 17-year-old pregnant girl, Ashley Holmes, and her unborn child died tragically. In this case, Annette Holmes, mother of the victim girl, has now raised the demand to permanently deport the accused Indian citizen Tarsem Singh from America. The mother says that the accused had entered America illegally and she does not want to see him in this country anymore. According to the victim’s family, 33-year-old accused Tarsem Singh was the father of the deceased’s unborn child and Ashley had tried several times to get out of this relationship, but she was not successful.

The accident happened at a speed of more than 120 miles per hour

According to accident reports from police and the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Ashley Holmes was traveling in a Range Rover Velar when the accident happened on February 16. According to investigating agencies, Tarsem Singh ignored the police signal to stop and tried to run away. After this a high-speed chase started between the police and the vehicle. The vehicle initially went at 79 mph in a 55 mph speed limit zone, later increasing to more than 120 mph. Due to excessive speed, the driver lost control of the car at the turn. The vehicle went to the other side of the road and collided with a jeep and overturned several times. During this, Ashley Holmes fell out of the car and due to serious injuries, she and her unborn child died on the spot.

The accused came illegally in 2017, many cases were registered

According to the US Department of Homeland Security, Tarsem Singh entered the US illegally through the southern border of California in February 2017. He was then arrested, but the judge later released him on bail. After this latest incident, the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE) has issued a detainer against him. A case has been registered against the accused Tarsem Singh under several serious criminal sections like culpable homicide, murder by negligence and aggravated vehicular manslaughter. He will remain in custody under an ICE detainer for the time being and deportation proceedings may begin pending the outcome of his criminal case. The jury trial in this case is scheduled to take place between August 17 and 21.
