Train Cancelled: With the aim of increasing the safety of passengers and expanding railway facilities, Railways has decided to start upgradation work on this route. Due to this technical work, approximately 21 passenger and MEMU trains will be affected between 26 December and 29 December 2025. Railways has already decided to cancel these trains temporarily.
Non-interlocking work will be done in Dongargarh section
Non-interlocking upgradation will be carried out to strengthen the infrastructure in Dongargarh section of Nagpur Railway Division under South East Central Railway (SECR). During this period, additional loop line will be connected to the Up line and the signaling system will be modernized. According to the railway administration, this work is necessary to make railway operations more safe and smooth in future.
Effect will last till 29th December
Railway officials said that due to the impact on the availability of blocks and rakes, many trains will remain canceled till December 29. Operations will not be normal during this period, hence passengers have been advised to be informed in advance.
21 trains of Raipur and Nagpur division affected
This upgradation has had a direct impact on the local trains running between Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra. According to the information released by the Railways, 11 trains of Raipur division, 10 trains of Nagpur division, a total of 21 passenger and MEMU trains have been temporarily cancelled.
Thousands of daily commuters will be affected
These trains are considered an important means of transportation for daily commuters. In such a situation, thousands of passengers are likely to be affected due to this block. Railways has appealed to the passengers to check the status of their train before going to the station.
