Earlier only Rs 250 had to be paid for this, but now Railways has increased this amount. Apart from this, passengers will also have to pay the fare for their entire journey.
Why did Railways implement the new rule?
On June 18, the Railway Ministry had informed all the railway departments of the country about these new rules. After this, these rules were immediately implemented by issuing a government order last Friday. The ministry says that the purpose of these new rules is to stop those traveling without tickets, to stop black marketing or misuse of tickets and to curb irregularities at railway stations. Railways believes that with this step the journey of common passengers will become safer and more comfortable than before.
A fine of Rs 500 will have to be paid along with the full fare.
According to the new rules, if a passenger is caught traveling without a ticket or with a wrong ticket, he will have to pay the full fare for his journey and will also have to pay a separate fine of at least Rs 500. Railway officials clearly say that now traveling without a ticket will be much more difficult and expensive than before. Therefore, he has advised the passengers to always travel by train only after purchasing correct and confirmed tickets.

The amount of fine increased after 13 years
