Trapped in a Dating Sim Season 2: Story

An isekai series takes office workers from today’s world and transports them to a fantasy land—where they are reincarnated (or sometimes reborn) into the body of another character. The series is about Leon Fou Bartfort, a mob character in an otome game created for female gamers, set in a world of magic, nobility, and mecha tech.

Using his knowledge from playing the game, his personality as an anti-hero, and the powerful artificial intelligence (AI) character Luxion, he can cause chaos in the game’s plot; avoid romance routes (harem endings) within the game; deal with political issues; fight in mecha suits; and find ways to live comfortably.

Season 1 adapted the first and second volumes of light novels (approximately), and Season 2 will continue where Season 1 left off. Seasons 1 and 2 will cover the rest of the series, leading up to all-out war, total political chaos, massive rivalries, futuristic battle sequences involving Leon’s plans to capture targets (the princes) as well as Olivia, Angelica, Marie, and the ever-increasing threat from the other kingdoms.

The light novel gives the story about 3–4 additional volumes to cover the increasing insanity, wars, and build up the world as a whole. So, no exact counts or arcs, or additional information, has yet to be released.

This announcement comes more than 3 years after the first season was released, and many fans of the first season are excited about seeing new designs and how the series continues. Be sure to check back often on Kadokawa, Crunchyroll, or any of the official X sites for trailers and a more solid date as 2026 approaches.
