Travel will start soon on the new expressway in UP, development will gain momentum
Lucknow. The Ganga Expressway to be built in Uttar Pradesh is now almost ready and it is expected that vehicular traffic will start on it soon. This high speed expressway being built from Prayagraj to Meerut is being considered among the biggest and most ambitious projects of the state. The government has instructed the officials that all the work related to the expressway should be completed by March 31, so that traffic can be started on it from April.
Construction work reached final stage
The construction of Ganga Expressway is now in the final stages and preparations for its inauguration have also started. During the recent review meeting held in Lucknow, Additional Chief Secretary and CEO of UPEDA Deepak Kumar took stock of the progress of the project and gave instructions to complete the work within the stipulated time frame. After this, construction work has been expedited in many districts including Prayagraj, Pratapgarh, Rae Bareli and Unnao.
Expressway will also be connected to Ram Vanagaman Path
A special aspect of this project is that the Ganga Expressway is being connected to the Ram Vanagaman Path being built from Ayodhya to Chitrakoot. This will make access to religious and tourist places easier. Engineers and officials associated with the project have also inspected the progress of construction work in many districts.
Expressway will be equipped with modern technology
State-of-the-art technology has been used to make this 594 kilometer long expressway safe and modern. For road safety, alarm sensors have been installed at many places, so that in case of any possible accident, immediate information can be received. Apart from this, to prevent accidents due to cattle coming on the road, a boundary wall about five feet high is being built on both sides of the expressway.
Traffic will start soon on Ganga Expressway
According to Prayagraj District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma, instructions have been given to complete the remaining works related to the expressway soon. Officials say the remaining work is expected to be completed in about two weeks, after which a final review will be conducted. If everything is completed as per schedule, then vehicular traffic can start on Ganga Expressway by the month of April. With its commencement, the travel time between western and eastern Uttar Pradesh will be significantly reduced and many districts of the state will benefit from better connectivity.
