Strict action is being taken against the accused who violate traffic rules on the road. Coimbatore city traffic police has informed that at present the licenses of about 5500 drivers have been cancelled.
Investigations conducted at different places in the last 11 months

An investigation campaign has been launched by the officials in the main areas of the city, after which action has been taken against all these accused. At the same time, the police say that despite all the warnings, there has been no reduction in traffic violation cases, which is a matter of concern. There have been 268 fatal accidents between January and November. A total of 275 people have lost their lives in these accidents.
